Freshers’ Fair – University Parks, Oxford – (0th week MT23) – 09:00-17:00 – 5th/6th October
Come and meet current members of OUSC, hear their experiences of swimming with the club and sign up for our team trials at the end of 0th week.

Team Trials – Rosenblatt Pool, Oxford – (0th Week MT23) – 10:00-12:00 – Saturday 7th October
Trials for OUSC. Everyone will be asked to swim two events, one of which will be 50m freestyle. Anyone interested in joining the club is warmly invited, regardless of ability. This is a great chance to meet all current members of OUSC and get a feel for the club. Team announcements will be made shortly after the trials.

Friendly Gala – Rosenblatt Pool, Oxford – 16:00-19:00 – Sunday 29th October (3rd week MT23)
Our annual friendly gala is the first time our freshers compete under the dark blue banner. Attendance is expected and everyone will get the chance to race. Followed by pizza and a party with the other teams.

BUCS Short Course Championships – Ponds Forge, Sheffield – 17th-19th November (End of 6th week MT23)
BUCS SC is one of our main competitions of the year and is always a highlight. Attendance is compulsory for Blues members and optional for Seconds. Anyone attending this meet must be prepared to leave on the Friday and return on the Sunday evening.

Training Camp – Rosenblatt Pool, Oxford – (9th week MT23)
An in-house training camp held in 9th week to keep up fitness before heading home for the vacation.

2024

Training Camp – Cyprus –  2nd-9th January (-1st/0th week HT24)
Our annual warm weather training camp for the Blues and 2s teams. This is always a highlight of the year, members become close friends and get some great training in! Attendance is compulsory for Blues swimmers. Speak to the Captains and Treasurer if you have concerns about payment for the camp.

BUCS Long Course Championships (optional) – Ponds Forge, Sheffield – 23rd-25th February (End of 6th week HT24)
The LC edition of the BUCS Championships. Each club is limited to two swimmers per event, making spaces highly competitive within the team. Anyone attending this meet must be prepared to leave on the Friday and return on the Sunday evening.   

Varsity Match – Rosenblatt Pool, Oxford – 2nd March (End of 7th week HT24)  
The big one! This is what we train for all year. Two competitions are held, one for Blues and one for Seconds. The match is held each year, with host pool alternating between Oxford and Cambridge. All swimmers should plan, prepare and be available for this competition.

BUCS Team Championships: National Finals – Ponds Forge, Sheffield – tbc
The final edition of the BUCS Championships. Each club is represented by one swimmer per event.

Cuppers – Rosenblatt Pool, Oxford
Cuppers is the inter-collegiate swimming competition. Absolutely anyone from the university can take part in the competition, and the more people who attend, the more fun it usually turns out to be!
