The Dolphins team provides a balance between social and competitive training. There are up to five training sessions each week, some of which are coached and some are led by the Seconds Team Captains. Training times can be found here.
The main competitions of the year (for those who want to compete!) are the Varsity competition against Cambridge and the two British University Championships (one for Short Course and one for Long Course). Many of the swimmers on the Dolphins team also attend the warm-weather Training Camp in January, and get involved in Open Water Swimming over the Summer!
Trials for the team are held at the end of Freshers Week – but don’t worry, we know most people have taken time out of swimming and that not everyone is at peak fitness straight after the summer holidays!
